Our Summer Program Kickoff will welcome families into a new season of fun, learning, and community connection. The Sealy Tigerettes will join us as special guests, helping set a festive tone as children and adults enjoy a variety of engaging games and cool off with refreshing popsicles. Guests can also get a first look at the exciting activities planned for our Unearth a Story summer program. It’s a cheerful, family‑friendly event designed to spark curiosity and bring our community together as we begin another memorable summer at the library.

Unearth your curiosity as we dig into the incredible science all around us! Join us for an action‑packed Science Heroes program where kids explore hands‑on demonstrations that make science come alive. Together, we’ll investigate the power of pressure and energy, watch polymers transform before our eyes, and observe how angles and trajectory affect real‑world motion. Each activity is designed to spark wonder, encourage questions, and show that science is something everyone can enjoy. If you didn’t already love science, you’ll definitely dig it after spending time with Science Heroes.

Families can join the adventure with Dinosaur Bingo, a lively Library Scavenger Hunt, and a special visit from Texas Parks & Wildlife, who will be bringing real fossils for kids to explore. Young adventurers can roar their way through dino‑themed bingo rounds, follow clever clues hidden throughout the library, and get an up‑close look at ancient discoveries. It’s a playful mix of discovery, competition, and curiosity—perfect for kids who love to search, find, and enjoy a little prehistoric fun along the way.

Families can jump into the excitement at our Putt‑Putt & Lone Star Bounce Fun Time, where kids can take on our mini‑golf course and then burn off energy in the Lone Star Bounce's,  obstacle course. With plenty of room to climb, crawl, bounce, and play, it’s a perfect mix of friendly competition and high‑energy fun. This action‑packed time gives families a chance to laugh, explore, and enjoy a memorable experience together at the library.

It’s a great week to celebrate America’s 250th Birthday! The library will be open all week, with our regular Story Time on July 1, but we won’t be hosting any additional summer events so families can enjoy the celebrations around town. The library will be closed on July 4 so our staff can celebrate with their families, too. We hope you have a fun, safe, and memorable week—come enjoy the library, and enjoy the holiday!

Get ready for big laughs and even bigger surprises with Bonzo Crunch, the clown who brings comedy, magic, and storytelling together in one unforgettable show. His silly jokes, clever tricks, and playful antics keep kids giggling from start to finish, while his interactive style invites the audience to join the fun. With Bonzo Crunch, every moment is a chance to laugh, learn, and be part of the show—making it a crowd favorite for families of all ages.

We’re excited to host a Scholastic Book Fair, and every dollar earned goes directly back into supporting our library. Thanks to your generosity, we’ve already added new spinning book shelves, display book shelves, media carts and plenty of fresh titles for our readers to enjoy. Come shop, explore, and help us continue growing our collection for the community.

We’re excited to offer a one‑time Big Kids Storytime—a special chance for our older readers to enjoy a fun, engaging story just for them. Since our toddler storytime runs all year, Mrs. Bridget wanted to give the big kids their own moment to relax, listen, and get creative.

Kids become junior archaeologists as they design and age their own treasure maps. Using drawing, watercolor, and creative details like symbols and clues, each child charts the path to a hidden archaeological find. They’ll finish by “weathering” their map to make it look like an ancient artifact ready to be discovered.

Get ready to splash, dance, and play at our Foam Party! Kids can dive into mountains of fluffy foam while enjoying upbeat music and plenty of outdoor fun. Bathing suits are welcome, and we encourage families to bring towels and outdoor chairs so you can relax and enjoy the excitement. It’s the perfect way to cool off, laugh together, and make unforgettable summer memories at the library.
